제 1회 Adobe Design Achievement Awards
Adobe Systems 는 지난 16일 Paramont Studio에서 제 1회 Adobe Design Achievement Awards
수상작품과 수상자들을 소개하였다. 상은 Video, Print Design, Photography, Illustration, Experimental
Design, Web Design 모두 여섯 분야에 결쳐 주어졌다. Web Design 분야를 제외한, 각 분야의 시상은 독창성(Most
Creative)과 전문성(Most Professional)으로 나뉘어 주어졌다. Adobe System측은 Adobe Design Achievement
Awards는 미국내 디자인 스쿨의 학생들 중에서 가장 장래가 유망한 학생들에게 주어지는 상이라고 밝혔다.
이번 올해 처음 열린 이번 시상식에는 688개의 작품이 다섯 분류로 나뉘어져 경합을 이루었다. 모든 작품들은 Adobe사가 디자인 스쿨에
기증한 Adobe 소프트웨어를 이용하여 만들어졌다. 심사는 7명의 디자인 전문가 맡았으며, First Place 수상자에게는 2,000$의
상금, 10가지 Adobe 제품, 로스 엔젤레스 시상식장으로 향할 수 있는 비행기 표, 그리고 시상식에 참가하는 디자인 산업 전문가들에게
자신의 작품을 보여줄 수 있는 기회가 주어졌다.
올해 처음 실시된 이번 시상식은 한국인 June Kim 씨가 Web Design 분야에서 유일한 수상자로 지목되어 더욱 눈길을 끈다.
