천체의 이상현상을 연구하던 과학자 ‘제인’ 일행은 거대한 섬광의 흔적을 쫓던 중, 그 현장 한가운데서 지구에 떨어진 토르와 맞닥뜨린다. 힘의 원천인 해머 ‘묠니르’도 잃어버린 채 하루 아침에 평범한 인간이 되어버린 토르. 지구에서 처음 만난 제인 일행과 함께하며 점차 인간 세계에 적응해 간다. 한편 토르가 없는 사이 아스가르드 왕국은 동생 로키의 야욕으로 인해 혼란에 빠진다. 자신의 위치를 위협하는 형 토르를 완벽히 제거하기 위해 강력한 파괴력의 ‘디스트로이어’를 지구로 보내 공격을 명하는 로키. 묠니르 없이는 신의 힘을 발휘할 수 없지만 자신의 존재 때문에 지구에 위험이 닥치고 있음을 알게 된 토르는 로키의 공격을 막기 위한 결전에 나서는데...!
